CBP Ups Textile Enforcement Activity
Posted in Import/Export on February 18th, 2006In an effort to curb the illegal transhipment and mis-discription of textiles to avoid quotas, Border Security Patrol is hiring 45 additional personnel from a new appropriation by Congress. In the month of February, BSP has already siezed textile merchandise worth $14 Million, and enforcement effort seems to be increasing.
One easy way to avoid this kind of “quota” predicament is to buy from sources that are not restricted under quota regimen. India, for example is not impacted by the new Quotas, and JD Corp, with its manufacturing facilities based in India, can help you with your needs.
